     I hope you’re here to preserve a happy moment, but you have my deepest condolences if you’re here because of a loss. 
     My name is Kerrie and I’ve been involved with animals my entire life. I began volunteering at my local shelter in middle school and remained there until I graduated from college. Unfortunately my career path took me away the shelter, and left me with just enough time for my rescued siamese, Neela, and a foster failure Dsh named Ivy. In February of 2022 Neela was diagnosed with renal lymphoma. After a brief battle, she crossed the Rainbow Bridge on 5/16/22, taking a huge piece of my heart with her. Shortly after Neela’s passing, Ivy was diagnosed with a litany of kidney and bladder issues and, not to be outdone by her ‘sister’, is currently trying to paw her way through my life’s savings… 
     After losing Neela, I found a great deal of comfort in searching for a way to memorialize and carry her with me. There are a number of incredible artists who create these memorial pieces and I encourage you to find the one you best connect with.  One  particular artist I consider a major inspiration and with whom I have personal experience is Angela @KnottMyTail on Etsy. 
     I will also encourage you to capture a piece of your loved one now, while they’re still here. I cannot tell you how much I treasure the paw and tufts I collected while Neela was living. Because of that I now keep vessels for Ivy and my 2 new adoptees. 
     For me, Always is a way for me to get back to doing what I love in a way that fits in with the time I have free. It’s both a passion and a form of therapy that lets me connect with others, create relationships and keeps the memory of Neela, and countless others like her, alive.
